These Ram raid bars were produced in this way so they could be opened and closed by one person without any assistance, they are lockable and have safety retaining locks so the barrier can be fixed in the open or closed position. when we finished the install, we found that the amount of strength needed to operate them was very small, they could be pulled down with the rope using just a finger and thumb, and you could stop them with one finger.
